For the past 45 years, Shri K. Appukuttan Achari has been dedicated to traditional temple architecture and craftsmanship, Panchaloha (five-metal) idol-making, and the preservation of India’s cultural heritage. He has created idols and artworks for 1,000 temples across the country and has played an important role in passing this endangered craft tradition on to his students and the next generation.
