A larger vision along with a resolution or the good fortune to fructify a mission is not accessible to everyone. There is a lot in the name too which made the institution “Atma Nirbhar Ek Challenge” meaningful. This Institution formed in 1996 under the Rehabilitation and the Empowerment Project has made itself absolutely worthwhile. Though, society does exhibit some sympathy for the unskilled divyangs. However, if a self-respecting divyang individual asks for remuneration for the work they did, one often hears a sad undertone from the front. The institution Atma Nirbharta Ek Challenge aims to ensure that the divyang people receive their salary or remuneration in lieu of their abilities and talent.

The organization has made this mantra effective at its level and is also working towards creating an environment so that in the rest of the society too, the divyang are not seen as disabled, unskilled and malicious. The collective also plays an effective role in providing employment to youth and women divyangs according to their ability and need. In the respective counselling centres, the divyangs are introduced to the protection of their constitutional rights. Their talent is tested in accordance with their skills and they are encouraged to work or conduct business in the relevant field. Atma Nirbharta Ek Challenge organization provides education and training to hundreds and thousands of divyangs, making them self-reliant. Thus, supporting them in attaining golden opportunities to live a life of dignity. The activities, functions and

achievements of the institution, are not only symbolic of the pride and joy of the entire country, rather they are exemplary of ideals and serve a role model of social service.

Atma Nirbharta Ek Challenge organization with the aim of giving wings to the innate desires of the divyangs. The organization resolved that these desires are to be fulfilled. Hence, they took up the challenging task of providing facilities to them. It was ascertained that the strength and determination of these divyangs should be given wings so that they can prove to be a efficient producers and contributors to society. The vision of the institution was clear and so was the mission. The organisation’s vision was certain and the mission too was definite. By giving equal opportunities to the divyangs, society treads towards a pleasant and exuberant world. Residential welfare institutions focused on the marginalised.

The institution gave  opportunity to some differently-abled people to connect them with the act of respect where they could earn something in exchange for work and participate in their existence and self-respect. They were given work, not for the purpose of drawing some benefit or showing kindness or sympathy. They have been engaged in furnishing packing for tea and other items, decorative potted plants and paper shopping bags. In all these works and activities, the institution gives priority to women divyangs. In July 2015, the organization set a record by connecting 39 such divyang people with work, which has been increasing continuously since then. The endavours of the institute have been awarded by the former President of India Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam with the Community Action Award. For this transformative revolutionary role in the social sector, Sant Eshwer Foundation proudly confers the Sant Eshwer Samman for the year 2021 to the institution – Atma Nirbharta Ek Challenge.
