Binita Jingung

Ms. Binita Jigdung, the founder and president of Kachari Tribal Women’s Organization, did remarkable work during her tenure from 2001 to 2011. She collaborated with the ‘Naga Mother Association’ to spread awareness about AIDS in society. Along with training the Kachari youth in cutting and tailoring, she also played a significant role in developing the khadi and silk industry in rural areas.
