The Khushhali Foundation is making special contributions for education, health, environment, self-reliance and public awareness in the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The foundation Projects named ‘Aranya’ and ‘Indradhanush’ have been started in the village. Through these projects, efforts are being made to bring bliss to the lives of the marginalized people and the people at the receiving end of society. The Khushhali Foundation is also working for the tutelage of the children of the economically weak society, worrying about their health. For this, the Foundation is providing nutritious food for the upbringing of rural children and encourages planting of fruit trees in such areas.

The projects of the Khushhali Foundation are multifaceted and essential in countless ways. People are encouraged to plant fruit trees in this area, vegetable seeds are distributed to them. Training is given in organic agriculture and necessary skill development training is also given to be self-reliant. Along with all these undertakings, the main task is to ensure environmental protection and cleanliness. In this way, the Khushhali Foundation is fulfilling the responsibility of comprehensive public welfare at its level in society. Through the rural and other ventures of the Foundation, a project named ‘Vriksh Mitra Gram Mitra’ is run. While, on one hand, it helps in making the earth flourish, on the other hand it helps in emancipation the rural families and their children from malnutrition. It assists in furthering their education, subsequently making the villagers resourceful. This campaign was initiated with the meditation that most of the children of rural families who don’t get to eat seasonal fruits should be provided with fruits and nutrition. Besides the physical and mental development of those children should be ensured as well.

The data of such underprivileged and economically weak people in rural areas must be collected and after that, we should reach out to those people. Initially, when the members of the Khushhali Foundation went to the village, they found an exhaustion of plantation everywhere. There is no shady tree visible anywhere in the village. Through its ‘Aranya Project’, the Khushhali Foundation began planting trees and saplings in such affected areas. There were two overarching benefits of this. Firstly, by planting fruit-bearing trees, fruits were provided to the children of humble families and simultaneously, efforts were also done for environmental protection and promotion. This campaign was run under the ‘Vriksh Mitra Gram Mitra’ initiative. Many families were given financial incentives through the institution for the protection of trees, their promotion and their development. The Foundation embarked on this journey 6 years ago, which has taken the form of an enormous campaign today. Further, in 2015, the campaign to plant fruit saplings was launched and so far, the Khushhali Foundation has distributed more than 11 lakh saplings trees to farmer families. More than 2,00,000 farmers from more than 20 districts have benefited through this campaign.

Similarly, the second project of the Khushhali Foundation is ‘Indradhanush Abhiyan’, through which work is done for the education of children of hundreds of underprivileged families. The children of modest Gadia Lohars families, as well as 19 urban needy children, are being taught in prestigious schools of the city. This number is amplifying perpetually. By giving education to needy children and encouraging their genius, the organization is celebrating them as the worthiest citizens for society and the country. The Khushhali Foundation has added more than 200 deprived children to the evening classes. It also includes 10 children who are rag pickers.

Besides, the health of the children is also thoroughly supervised. Till now several weekly health camps have been organized in the village through which medicines have been disseminated to more than one lakh villagers. Timely, special medical camps are organized in the village with the help of specialist doctors. Thus, protecting the health of the villagers and making them cognisant. The Khushhali Foundation takes care of the medical treatment of the animals. Veterinary camps are also organized by the foundation. So far more than 2000 animals have got medical benefits.

For the last few years, efforts have been made to promote organic agriculture and organic products and hundreds of farmers have got the benefit of it. The Foundation is continuously working to provide vegetables to the rural families. Along with the seeds of these vegetables, packets of green vegetables have been distributed to about 2000 rural families.

The Foundation is also striving to make rural women self-reliant. So far, many women have been given free sewing-embroidery training in their village. To make healthcare amenities easily available, more than 50 villagers have been trained in first aid so far. Libraries and gymnasiums have so far been established in more than 10 villages for rural youth. Along with social development, the Foundation also works for environmental protection. Hence, essay and debate competitions are timely organized on numerous topics concerning environmental awareness. The foundation has established more than 10 coaching centres in rural areas.
