Jharkhand 2019
A conscious soul who established reverence centres to prevent the conversion of 25000 people and built temples in 20 locations.
If there is a companionship between nature and life anywhere, then it’s in the tribal and rural environment. If nature is safe, then life is secure. This is the basic mantra for tribal society. The tribal order is a Sanatani society. This society has given nature the position of its deity and attempted to develop life in its natural form.
Today’s global society is a society with temptations of various shades. In this, there is no place for the cleanliness of life. The foundation stone for the establishment of intellectual society has been laid by the global mercantile society. In this society, everything runs on a system of buying and selling. Whether society is large scaled or smaller, in the want of a buyer, its life is not possible. Tribal society didn’t consider itself a part of this system. Even today a type of cycle is being run to annihilate them. Smt. Rekha Hembrom Ji believes that an international conspiracy is going on to end the tribal society.
The tribals kept themselves connected with independent life to save the ideal Sanatan Dharma and its culture. Witnessing their dedication, effort and relation, Rekha Hembrom Ji was determined to cherish their beliefs and cultures.
Many times, it is seen that there is an exceeding desire to join the blind race of development, wherein individuals and various society leave their traditional beliefs and values. In today’s era, similar pressure is seen in tribal societies. For this reason, people are constantly getting distanced from their roots and are being converted to the temptation of more profit. Rekha Hembrom Ji’s pertinent concern was to stop them through personal as well as institutional efforts.
After securing secondary education in 1968, Rekha Ji along with her husband and Guru Baba Shri Shibu Murbhu started to propagate the religious word. Foremost, they initiated their work from the tea plantations of Bengal. In many places, they established reverence centres. Gradually it expanded from the district level to the state level. Presently, the reverence centres are extended to other states including Assam, Bihar and also to countries such as Nepal. Through these centres, construction of temples was facilitated at 20 locations and the conversion of 25000 people was prevented.
To preserve the culture and beliefs, programs like rath yatras were also organized. From 2006 to 2012 in the provinces of Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand, public awareness was generated through rath yatras organized in the name of eminent personages such as Sido Murmu, Kanhu Murmu, Tilka Murmu, Chand Bhairav, Bhagwan Birsa Munda and others.
Right now, taking this campaign forward, under the supervision of Rekha Hembrom Ji, at the foothills of Bihar’s Mandar Mountains near the Papharni pond in the Safadi village memorial buildings are being constructed in the name of Maha Mansithan, Maha Jaherthan and great men. Many kinds of hostels are also being operated in the states of Bengal and Bihar in order to encourage the development of education and culture in the tribal society.
The construction of reverence centres, rath yatras, hostel systems and memorial buildings has brought a new awakening to Santal tribal Society. For the protection of religion and culture, now convergence is also being noted.
Recognising these commendable works of Smt. Rekha Hembrom Ji, the ‘Sant Eshwer Foundation’ has decided to award her with the Sant Eshwer Vishisht Sewa Samman for the year 2019.
